Amazing spot for camping, both the modern and primitive sites! Currently open fires permitted on both, potable water at primitive sites only. The staff is absolutely incredible and come around with firewood and water. No reception within 20 min, McDonald's and Starbucks 30 min. The water is perfect for swimming and lots of space!

Super nice and clean place. The day use area is great for kids. However you probably want to get there a bit on the early side. To hike the ranger said it was a half of a mile but it was probably around 4. We never actually made it to the cliff jumps because we had a 7 year old but another hicker said we were about 5 minutes away. The day use area has barbecues and picnic table right by the water. YOU NEED BUG SPRAY there are no bugs by the day use but if you plan to hike you need bug spray. Overall it was a great time but it was a bummer not being able to do the cliff jumps.

It's been closed for about two years and now open to the public! So glad we were able to get in the water and had an amazing day. Can't wait to go back very soon with more friends.

1st Post-pandemic trip so camping felt safe. We received a telephone ☎️ call 2 days before to mention ? bathrooms were closed and portable potties would be substituted. Kudos for the heads-up . Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the camp hosts and directed to our site. Bathrooms were EXTREMELY clean and we will definitely return!

Awesome campground! We came here the first weekend in November and didn't do a lot of research on the area before coming so we didn't know what to expect. The area is mountainous and there is a lot of hiking around! It was pretty empty when we came. The host told us in the summer there can be scorpions, tarantulas, and rattle snakes to be aware of but no worries for these in the colder season. Great area to stay and explore!

Camp hosts were friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and campsites were kept clean on a daily basis. The campsites are very close to one another with not much privacy. The surrounding hikes were clearly marked with plenty of information about the park. The hike to the gorge and the steep decent to the river was beautiful and secluded.

Campground “host” Keith is unfit to be a campground host and horrible to deal with. He verbally harassed us and threatened to call the sheriff on us after we arrived to an nearly EMPTY campground in the pitch dark at about 9:30 PM for a 1 night stay on Thursday of Christmas week. There is no signage to indicate which is a double site. According to the horrid “host” at 10PM after he came around with his mag light shining in our site and trying to open our camper door, that in the pitch dark you are just supposed to know which site is a double or not. God forbid you already put your kid to bed and were settled in and have to encounter this power tripping “host.” HORRIBLE.
If you think you can write a check or pay with card, you are mistaken. You must have cash or the “host” will call the sheriff. There is no cell service there. There is no other facilities within an hour of the campground. We weren’t there long enough to enjoy anything about the campground and fully regret attempting to experience it. After having to move sites in the empty campground to appease the psycho or go to jail, we have decided that this campground is probably just a portal to hell. I wish I had something good to say about this experience but honestly I just want to erase the whole 12 hours from my mind. The pics here looked amazing. We were super excited to experience it. Such a shame.
